Week 6, Day 26: Get Inspired

Updated: May 1, 2020

Tip #26:

Inspire and stimulate your intellectual curiosity.

I've been writing this blog for 5 weeks alongside providing telehealth therapy to the vast majority of my pre-coronavirus caseload, running faux-school, and striving to keep myself and my family healthy and sane. This week should have been our April vacation. And, like many of you, ours got canceled. In lieu of vacation, I reduced my workload this week so that I could do some research, tool up, spoil my kids a little and get inspired to bring the best that I can, under these circumstances, to my work and my life.

Instead of bringing you my humble thoughts and suggestions this week, I'm offering up some thought masters whom I admire and trust both professionally and personally, starting with Glennon Doyle. Glennon Doyle, for those who don't know her, started a successful blog on parenting and life called Momastery. She has since written three New York Times bestsellers: Love Warrior, Carry On, Warrior: The Power of Embracing Your Messy, Beautiful Life and Untamed. She is the founder and president of Together Rising, an all-women led nonprofit that, in its own words, "[T]ransforms collective heartbreak into effective action" to elevate the reach of grassroots philanthropy. Some also many know her as the wife of Abby Wambach, US Women's World Cup soccer champion .To put it simply, she's a rockstar.

Here are links to two of her early blogs about parenting that are rife with honesty, heart, and damn-good advice. Enjoy.
