WHAT IS THE POSITIVE PARENTING COURSE?

Adult Students

I developed this class in 2011 in response to the large number of families reaching out to my private practice. In addition to teaching a positive discipline model, the course has evolved to include information on neural development, the role of temperament and new ways to think about teaching skills versus exacting consequences.  Participants will receive strategies that are realistic and ready-to-apply to their family's needs. Geared to those with kids 10 and under, I love teaching parents, grandparents and caregivers these skills.

Thanks for visiting. I'm thrilled you're here. I've been in private practice in the Metrowest Boston community since 2010 serving children, teens, families and individual adults. After receiving my MSW from Smith College School of Social Work, I worked in the San Francisco Bay Area and London, England, treating youth and adults from all over the world with a wide array of presenting issues. I'm known for engaging tough clients, as well as for my personable approach to elevating the emotional literacy and regulation skills of anyone I serve. In addition to the clinical work I provide and the Positive Parenting courses I teach, I'm also available for private parent coaching for those seeking a personalized set of strategies to address behavior challenges they're experiencing with their child(ren). Typically, in my role as a parent coach, I meet with parents a handful of times over as many weeks or months to identify needs, develop a plan, test out strategies and create stabilization.

If you'd like to schedule a consultation, organize a private class for your group, or contact me about a speaking engagement, please look at My Services on this website.
